Dick Clark’s Rockin New Years Eve 2011: Celebrities Shares Their 2011 WishesThe Ball Drop 2011 was already finished as thousands of people welcomed the New Year 2011 at Times Square together with the millions of people all over the world who watched it online through the internet. The crowd waited for the official 60-second countdown of the New Year’s Eve Ball at Times Square and we were happy to be one of those who were officially here at the venue. We managed to go here after some problem with the technical crew.
Dick Clark or Richard Wagstaff “Dick” Clark had been one of the official part of the annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at Times Square. Clark was the host of the show Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Every hour after the hourly countdown, a special musical presentation was offered which showed some of the biggest stars and this year, even the Backstreet Boys was there to celebrate 2011.
Clark is also known as “America’s Oldest Teenager” for his youthful appearance, although he is actually 81 years old. He had been an icon and also a legend for hosting long-running television shows such as American Bandstand, five versions of the game show Pyramid, and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
This year Dick Clark’s Rockin New Years Eve featured a clip of stars sharing their wishes for the upcoming year which serves to inspire fellow American’s.
